What's the story about?

This is the story of a little mouse that goes on a big adventure and discovers the value of the planet we call home.

What inspired the story?

My little girl and I love to discuss general topics of interest ranging from astronomy through to zoology.

During Lockdown, with little to no access to parks or funfairs, we started our own little fairground called 'Daddy Funfair'.

It comprised of many silly games, activities and 'rides' that mimicked the experience of a real funfair, but on miniature scale using whatever props we had at home and in the garden.

We use to (and still do) create our own little plays, games, and fun activities combined with our varying interest. It would sometimes result in an epiphany of ideas. We would tag the idea with a book title and I would get to work on it.

We currently have 80+ titles in our 'book title' repository. I have written several so far and 'Martian Mouse' is the first to be published.

I love science, adventure and our planet!

This book is for any parent who wishes to instil in their children a passion for science, an affinity for adventure and a respect for the planet we call home.

I believe the earlier we start cultivating these values, the better.

Can we expect more picture books from Masud?

Absolutely yes!. I have written several picture books. The process is enjoyable, but intense. It requires more work than I originally anticipated when I first embarked on this endeavour. I am lucky to have had Nadia Ronquillo as my illustrator.
